Hi, this is Whitney and you're listening to Exploring Peace Meditations. Today I invite you into a mini-reset with the practice of Yoga Nidra. This is a shortened Yoga Nidra session that you can practice seated in a chair or lying on the ground, or on your mat or in your bed, maybe even parked in your car. Of course, car off, be still Wherever you are. Let's be still and invite a mini reset for the whole body today. Become aware of your breath, soften your eyes and let's pray. Creator, god, draw us close, help us be with you now. Whatever may be happening in our lives or in our world, remind us that you are near. We claim this time to reset our spirits, our minds and be refreshed by you.

Begin to notice your body. Feel the weight against the earth or the chair or the mat, feel the heaviness and begin to let that heaviness get heavier. If there's any part of you that hasn't yet released, envision it becoming very heavy. And now imagine the Holy Spirit approaching you as a soft wave of relaxation. As a soft wave of relaxation Spirit, as wind or breath flowing in and around your body. Feel this wave of spirit move across your forehead, releasing tension, relaxing your face. Notice the spirit brush upon your neck and shoulders as you soften and release any tightness. Now invite this spirit to travel upon your arms, hands. Allow the heaviness of the body to be held by God. Allow the spirit to soften, relax, reset and renew your entire being. The relaxation travels throughout your core. Your breathing becomes more feet and toes. Allow your whole body to be still and fully at rest, trusting in God's care. Let God hold the heaviness. Let your spirit feel light. Allow the breath to move through you like a wave, welcoming the spirit with your breath. Inhale fully, exhale completely With each breath. Inhale God's Spirit, care, distractions, doubts. Repeat this practice for 10 breaths Inhaling, exhaling, receiving the spirit, releasing anything that gets in the way. I'm going to take a deep breath, thank you.

With your next breath, say to yourself I am at peace in God's presence, I am filled with God's spirit. I am loved by my Creator. Imagine that you are looking down upon yourself in the room, space, place you're in right now. See yourself held by God, reset body and spirit by the one who made you refreshed. Notice that the heaviness has left your body. Recognize the lightness that you see, the spirit that's all around you. Hold on to this image of yourself refreshed, rested in God's presence. Take a full breath in and a long breath out.

Creator, god, we give thanks for refreshment, for rest, for love and care and compassion, for grace and peace and all that you offer us. May we carry this forth, this refreshed person. May we carry that image forth. May we carry this energy forth. May we carry your spirit forth in all we do today. Thank you, god, for loving us, creating us and being with us. Now, in your holy name, we pray Amen. I'd invite you to slowly wiggle fingers and toes and now bring yourself back into the present space. You're in Notice if your body feels lighter, notice if your breath feels deeper. Notice if there's a word or a phrase or a prayer that God wants you to hold on to today.
