Welcome And Settle In
SPEAKER_00Hi, I'm Whitney and you're listening to Exploring Peace Meditations. As you begin to settle in and find a relaxed, quiet place where you can rest in God's love and light. I'd invite you to let go of any distractions, and I'd remind you that you can find more meditations like this one at exploringpeace.com. And if you'd like to connect beyond the podcast, you can find me and my books at Whitney Rsimpson.com. Okay, that's all the details. Now are you settled in? Take a slow breath in. And let it out fully, completely. Release all the air from the body. Repeat that a few times, reminding yourself there's nothing to force, nothing to fix. We're here to rest, to notice, to be. And find a bit more ease within. Try not to hold on to anything. Not your thoughts, not your plans, not even your posture or your body. Just be. On your next breath, say to yourself, I am held, I am safe, I am here.
Root Chakra Grounding With Roots
SPEAKER_00For this guided energy meditation today, we'll be following the seven main chakra points within our body, beginning at the root. So bring your attention to the base of your core, to your seat, and let that extend even to your legs and your feet. So from your tailbone down. Whether you're reclined or seated, imagine there are roots extending from you, like roots of a vine reaching into good soil. Imagine that the lower part of your body is connected to something steady. Something that's holding you, and something that will hold you. See the roots connect to the surface. Imagine the earth beneath you. And then say to yourself, I am rooted and grounded. I am rooted and grounded. I draw up strength the way roots draw up water. I draw up strength the way roots draw up water. I am rooted in God's love. I am connected to my Creator, rooted and grounded. Allow yourself to breathe and let the steadiness, the presence, the water, the life rise up, rise up through you now, slowly and quietly, like water traveling up a vine.
Sacral Flow And Living Water
SPEAKER_00Now gently move your attention up from your low body into your low belly, just below your navel. This sacral chakra, a place of feeling and creativity and flow. Picture a clear living water beginning to move from those roots. A water that's not forced and not stagnant, just flowing gently, the way a spring moves without effort. As you visualize flowing water, allow your breath to be full and deep, extending the diaphragm on the inhale and allowing it to sink down on the exhale. It might even help to sink your breath with the water imagery. Like a flowing wave or a rippling river. Inhaling as you see the water. Exhaling as you see the water. Now say to yourself, living water flows through me. I release what is stale and I welcome what is fresh. Today I will allow myself to feel and to flow without judgment. Today I will allow myself to feel and to flow without judgment. Let the imagery of the water rinse away anything that feels tight or tired. Let it carry away what you don't need today. See it and breathe.
Solar Plexus Sunlight And Strength
SPEAKER_00Slowly allow your awareness to travel up to your solar plexus, beneath your ribs, but above your navel. This is known to be your center of will, your focus of confidence and personal power and strength. Imagine beautiful yellow sunlight resting on that living water. It's gentle and steady, like the sun on the surface of a quiet stream. You might feel the warmth in your imagination. You may simply envision the sunlight resting upon the middle of your being. Breathe. I release striving. I will shine my light. Allow your breath to remain steady, and let this warm sunlight settle you, easing anything that feels hard, strong, braced, or defended. See if you can soften into your quiet strength.
Heart Blooming With God’s Love
SPEAKER_00Your breath continues to be your anchor as we move our awareness to our heart space. Visualize in your mind new life, growth. In this heart space, we invite God's love to grow in our hearts like a beautiful flowering plant. One that's blooms begin to open toward the sun. Share their beauty, their colors, their richness. Say to yourself, love lives in me. I am made of God's love. My heart is a branch, and love blooms within it. I am gentle with myself the way I am gentle with someone I love. Love lives in me. I am made of God's love. Let your heart space bloom. What does it look like?
Throat Truth Spoken In Love
SPEAKER_00Slowly move your awareness to your throat. The place in which our truth is spoken, where we find our voice. Let your throat be soft. Let it be honest. Let it be light and airy. Light and airy. Just as the breath moves through it. Imagine the wind or the spirit moving through your throat space. Light, soft, and airy. Say to yourself, I speak truth. I speak God's truth. My voice is welcome. I do not have to shout to be heard. I speak truth and I speak it in love. Allow your breath to move through your being, soft like the wind.
Clear Mind And God’s Wisdom
SPEAKER_00Awareness travels to your brow or your third eye center. This place of intuition and welcoming God's wisdom within you. Imagine bright, clear light here, unclouded, crystal clear, like the clean water or the bright sunlight. Nothing blocking the wisdom, the intuition, or the view. Say to yourself, my mind is open to understanding. I welcome God's wisdom within me. I see clearly and I see it with compassion. My mind is open to understanding. Light clear. Allow your forehead to be soft and let your breath move freely throughout your being. Even beyond it.
Crown Connection And Wholeness
SPEAKER_00Reaching upward the way a vine reaches toward the sky. Notice that you're connected to something larger than yourself. More than your thoughts, your body, your agenda, your day. There's a quiet, generous presence. Your creator is holding it all. Everything, including you. Feel a lightness at the top of your head. Maybe even feel a lengthening as you breathe, allowing your body to get a bit longer. Say to yourself, I am connected to the divine. I am growing closer to my creator. Life flows through me from the bottom of my feet to the top of my head. I am connected to my Creator. From the roots to the water to the blooms to the air, to the sunlight, to the growth, to the divine, you are a living being. You are connected to the one who made you. See yourself rested, filled with life, from root to crown. And then say to yourself, I am whole. I am connected to God, to love, to the earth, to others, to myself. I am whole. I am connected. I am whole. I am growing. I am filled with life, love, and energy. Rest here as long as you wish. Maybe simply notice. There's no expectation you can stay as long as you wish or return with me after our closing prayer.
Closing Prayer And Return
SPEAKER_00Creator God, thank you for this body. Thank you for life and energy. Thank you for growth. Continue to ground us. Help us grow, stay connected to ourselves and one another, and always stay connected to you. In your name we pray. Amen. Stay here, or if you'd like, begin to move your fingers and your toes and bring awareness back into the space around you. The sounds, the surface, the temperature. You'll take one more full breath in and a long breath out. And before you open your eyes, remind yourself. I am connected to my Creator. I am loved. I am rooted. I am growing. I am free. Open your eyes when you're ready and carry your energy into your day. Thank you for exploring the gift of God's peace with me. Until next time, may God's peace be with you. And let's connect at exploringpeace dot com.
