Show Notes Transcript

Experience the tranquility of stillness and explore the true power of hope in your life as Whitney leads us on a journey to discover God's gift of peace. Get comfortable, take a deep breath and allow yourself to be guided through this enlightening meditation, inspired by the calming verses of Ephesians, chapter one, verses 18 and 19, that gently encourage us to breathe in the name of God and exhale a longing for hope, an essential cornerstone of our session.

This isn't just another meditation session; it's a spiritual adventure where you learn to connect your breaths with a prayer, asking the Mighty God to fill us with hope. As you inhale and exhale, you'll feel an overwhelming sense of peace that stems from understanding the richness of God's power and strength. Wrap up the session with a prayer for hope - a hope that permeates your hearts, minds, and lives. And remember, our community isn't limited to the podcast. Speaker 1:

Hi, this is Whitney and you're listening to Exploring Peace Meditations. As you settle in, I'd invite you to find a seated posture today in which you can practice full, deep, diaphragmatic breathing. You might choose to sit in a chair on the floor against a wall. Wherever you're listening from, we're glad you're here to explore the gift of God's peace with us. If you'd ever like to connect beyond the podcast, you can find our community at exploringpeacecom slash community and you can find me at WhitneyRSimpsoncom. Now take a full breath in through your nose and a long breath out through your mouth. If it feels good to take a deep sigh today, go ahead and do that. We'll be practicing breath prayer, where we breathe in a designated name of God and breathe out a longing of our heart. I'd like for you to listen to Ephesians, chapter one, verses 18 and 19 in the common English Bible. As you listen, practice breathing fully and deeply in and out through your nose. Your belly should expand on the inhale and deflate on the exhale. Hear these words. I pray that the eyes of your heart will have enough light to see what is the hope of God's call, what is the richness of God's glorious inheritance among believers and what is the overwhelming greatness of God's power that is working among us believers. This power is conferred by the energy of God's powerful strength. There's one word I'd like to draw your attention to. We heard early in this passage, and it's hope. May we have enough light to see what is the hope of God's call. Ponder the word hope for just a moment. This passage reminds us of God's power and strength, and so today we'll call upon that mighty and powerful God and ask for hope On your next inhalation, breathe in through your nose and silently offer the words mighty God.

Speaker 1:

On your next exhalation, silently offer the words give me hope. Connect your inhale and your exhale with these words forming your breath prayer today of mighty God. On the inhale, give me hope. On the exhale. These words might shift or shape a bit. In the next few moments of quiet. You might offer give me hope in you, or let me be hope, or shine your hope. Show me hope.

Speaker 1:

Inhale, mighty God, exhale your prayer for hope today. Inhale, mighty God, exhale. Give me hope. In these next few moments of quiet, let your prayer become what it may as you breathe in and out, asking your mighty God for the gift of hope today, in these next few moments of quiet, let your prayer become what it may, as you breathe in and out, asking your mighty God for the gift of hope today, in these next few moments of quiet, let your prayer become what it may as you breathe in and out, asking your mighty God for the gift of hope today, mighty, powerful, magnificent God, cultivate in us hope. Help us discover your hope in our hearts, in our minds and in our lives. In your name we pray Amen. Until next time. May God's peace be with you.
