Speaker 1:

Hi, this is Whitney and you're listening to Exploring Peace Meditations. I invite you to start this morning meditation by finding a comfortable posture. You may choose to be seated or lying down. Today we'll meditate on God's creation, so I invite you to either close your eyes and see the beauty of God around you, or consider gazing out a window, seeing the beauty that is right where you are. Take a deep, cleansing breath in and exhale slowly, calm.

Speaker 1:

At 90, verse 17 in the Passion Translation. Oh Lord, our God, let your sweet beauty rest upon us. As we begin this day, let's invite God's sweet beauty to rest upon us. Inhale and exhale, recognizing the beauty of the breath, the sacredness and the rhythm, whether your eyes are open or closed. Ponder the beauty that surrounds you, even if it's hard to see, and now allow your mind to become still among that beauty, like a calm lake reflecting the beauty of the world. If thoughts arise, simply acknowledge them and let them pass and find your breath again. As you notice what you're feeling or sensing in this morning time in your body, invite God's loving care to flow through you, bringing vitality, healing, peace and renewal to every cell within your beautiful being All that scripture passage we heard earlier and visualize the beauty of God filling your throat, you, filling your heart and your whole body.

Speaker 1:

Oh Lord, our God, let your sweet beauty rest upon us this day. Feel that beauty settle upon you, rest upon you. Feel you with each breath, with each noticing, with each settling into this quiet space. Feel the beauty settle upon you. Rest upon you. Feel the beauty settle upon you, rest upon you. Feel the beauty settle upon you. Rest upon you. Feel the beauty settle upon you, rest upon you. Feel the beauty settle upon you, rest upon you. Feel the beauty settle upon you. Rest upon you With God's beauty upon you. Feel gratitude for the beauty that surrounds you, whether your eyes are open or closed. Feel gratitude for the beauty of nature, of changing seasons, of the sunrise this day, of the people you care about. Pause now in this moment of quiet and offer gratitude for all the beautiful gifts in your life. Pause now in this moment of quiet and offer gratitude for the beauty of nature, of begrud话, wonderful Creator.
